SRM Recruitment have been instructed to source and appoint a new Director of FInance Business Support by a well-established, and award winning, housing association.

They are an ambitious and fast growing organisation with an annual turnover of upwards of £350m. Following on from the appointment of their new Group Finance Director, the strategic decision has been taken to hire a Director of Finance for Business Support. The Finance department is split in to 4 teams, one of which being Business Support, and the finance team has 95 employees within it. You’ll report directly in to the Group Finance Director and you will be tasked with heading up the Business Support function, with 21 people under your leadership. You’ll be supporting some huge change programmes so this is a great opportunity for you to come in the Business and put your own stamp on how things are done.

You’ll have a strong academic background and be a qualified accountant. If you’re coming from a commercial background, you’ll definitely need property knowledge and if you’re coming from a housing background, you’ll need to demonstrate how you have been involved in progressive change. Experience of implementing change management and also leading and developing large teams will also be crucial for success in this role. The position will require you to comfortably present key data, trend analysis, risks and regular reporting to senior and board level, therefore a strong and confident character is needed.

You’ll benefit from a salary of circa £100k, plus annual bonus of 10-12%, company car or car allowance of £6k, Pension, 30 days holiday, and private health cover.
